Art on display in public places and in construction helps to shape a place and is important for enabling an observer to identify with a space.
Ehrismann's sculptures are defined by their lucid language of form. The largely highly subtle, expressive movements are aimed at awakening feelings in the observer. Themes such as parting and closeness, connections and distance are all formally embedded in the basic circles, curves and lines, creating a symbolic feeling of harmony and peace.
The relatively small sizes of the pieces establish a sense of closeness between the observer and the sculpture, which is fully intentional.
